Can you adjust stock Amplifier?

I recenlty had a subwoofer installed in my vehicle with a new amp. The installer mentioned something about turning up my stock amplifier I believe. I took out my subwoofer for today and the bass did seem louder that normal on the stock speakers.

Is it possible to adjust the bass from the amp? Of course I know its possible from the head unit, but thats not the case. If it can be adjusted I would like to lower the bass on the stock subs so my sub can take take the bass. Thanks in advance!

in the case of a hifi the answer is "no".
(not sure about L7)
"adjustment" means ripping the piece of sh*t out and replacing it.
