07 IDrive Iphone 3GS No Connect!!!

Guys,

I am new to this board as i just purchased my 335i yesterday, but not new to boards. I have searched for a while and can't come up with a DEFINITIVE answer to my problem. My Iphone 3gs doesn't connect with my bluetooth at all.....

Any input?

My iPhone 3GS pairs perfectly with my 2007 335i. What specifically is happening when you try to pair?

No issues here with 3gs

bluetooth is on and discoverable, it even gets to the point where it asks for the pin on both the iphone and the idrive's account, then it immediately says pairing failed. I've tried restarting both the ignition and the phone in different orders to overcome some sort of nuance.

I have an iphone 3gs and and an ipod touch both of which do not work with the usb / idrive in my 2007 bmw 335xi? anyone know how to fix this? The usb charges the phone but that is it. FYI bluetooth works flawlessly.
