Removing Lower Center Bumper Trim Piece??

Does anyone know how to remove the center trim piece from the lower front bumper? I am talking about the horizontal piece of plastic that runs across the center lower front bumper (the section with the mesh in front of the lower radiator - think E36 M3). I thought I read somewhere on here that it pulls straight out, but cant find the article again. Is this true?

there's a couple of threads...insteadof just pulling (which requires some force and non-slip kung-fu grip) you can use an L-shaped tool to "press down" on the clips that hold the piece in place. This cuts down on the possibility of breaking the clips.

Thanks for the link.

What sucks though is that there's still a bracket left on the mesh which can't be removed. Kind of kills my idea, which was to simply remove the center accent bar altogether. Oh well, but thanks anyway.
