just mounted my amp and sub!
so i made a little shelf to mount the amp just above the sub box. I didnt want to mount the amp on the floor behind the sub box because i wanted to leave the space for groceries, luggage, etc...
the sub box is just velcro'd down. I'm running a sony xm-2002gtr amp with 2 10" rockford fosgates (forward facing) next step: find all those little, yet annoying rattles! |

I mounted my amp to the back seat and all the wires are hidden behind the panels. Much easier to access and adjust the amp settings. Takes some time to gut the entire trunk, but it's well worth the effort in the end.

When mounting your amplifier, do it in private in your own home, and wash your hands after.
The concept is good, the execution is flawed. Hanging amp racks work great, but yours looks poorly made, the wires make the trunk look like a server room, and you should Google "strain relief". I would suggest using the same attachment points, but facing the wires forward, and using a large ball peen hammer and the anvil portion of a bench vise, and making the thing somewhat square, then at least rattle-canning it black. |

thanks for the input guys.
agreed, definitely rushed the execution. I will be painting it black so that it isn't so random looking. I have recently routed the wires along the lip of the trunk, so the wire mess is improved I'm totally open to suggestions... If you all can think of other places to mount the amp without taking too much space, that would be great. Unfortunately, it's too big to place on the side, either ontop of the stock amp or above the battery. I would mount it to the back of the seats, but i decided to go with the forward facing set up... |

You need to clean up those wires. Try flipping the amp around so the wires are facing the seat then run them behind the trunk trim panels to where they have to go |

OP your better off mounting that to the back of the box. Idk what amp you have but my JL 500/1 is meant to be mounted vertially to achieve the best heat dissapation. |
