2010 X5 Facelift Photos continue...
With all the changes to the BMW X lineup in the last 6-12 months it seems as tho the current X5 has been left behind a little bit. Not that we are all for such a rapid turnover in design tweaks, nevertheless it seems as tho every X car is either being completly redone or refreshed. So it does make sense that the bread and butter X5 not be treated as a second class citizen and get some updates as well. These photos fairly clearly show that the car will recieve the X6 face but with some tweaks to the bumper that makes it a bit more fitting to the X5 chassis, this may represent an M-Sport bumper addition which would be a crossover between the standard X5 and the X5-M

No its X5 for sure. But the X3 is getting a full redesign later this year, expect it to have a more flowing shape similar to the new X1 with a new face that will be distinct from the X1, X5 and X6. it will have an 'angry' face to it

This looks like (and I know it's early to judge) it's going to be the first facelift that looks worse than the outgoing model.

These photos look a lot like the M-sport package in disguise...

This has probably been noted elsewhere, and a minor point, but I am glad that BMW is moving towards a lower profile roof rail. I noticed it in the F11 5-series touring spy shots, and now here on the X5. The current roof rail style looks old and dated (on all X's and tourings). This is much nicer, IMO.

I don't get it. What X6 face? It looks exactly like the current X5 face except for the bumper. The X6 (and X5M) has that more slanted headlights. Not this one.

No running boards? Does the current X5 M have them? I don't mean the optional aluminum boards, but the basic black that are usually standard on the X5.

this is def. the Msport...notice the painted wheel flares. On a standard X5 the flares (or lack there of) as well as the rockers would be black plastic, not to mention the front bumper is a toned down version of the M front bumper.
Also worth noting: those wheels are the M-sport wheels that come on the current X5 3.0 M-sport and the roof rails are currently only available on M and M-sport models -Scott

I fully agree! WTF is going on with the designing lately? I thought that after Bangle left, designs would get better and better......
