Hold off for Order - or take similar off of lot. waiting bug
My order @ 1,500 under MSRP:
Montego Blue, black leatherette w/ grey poplar trim, sport package, comfort access. Sitting on lot (Also @ 1,500 under MSRP): Space Gray, Black leatherette w/ Alluminum trim, Sport Package. minus comfort acces grey poplar (not a big deal) montego blue (like space gray just as much) I've got the bug - I guess its back to the official SG and Montego picture threads.... there close enough to be happy with either Can comfort access be added @ the dealer? EDIT: Nope =( http://e90post.com/forums/showthread...+access+dealer Wait for comfort access? Arg... |

I'd say wait. But my reasoning would be for Montego Blue rather then the CA. I'm just not a fan of Space Gray.

I took a car off the lot and it didn't bother me much. I kinda wish I had CA but I can live without it and all other options are pretty much what I wanted to spend at the time.
I based my to order or not to order decision more on my age though. At 23 I feel I have plenty of time left to get the exact cars to specification that I want and this one is just the beginning.

Only 1500 off in SoCal?!? I know it's a golden turd model right now, but still there are so many damn BMW dealers I'd think you could do better than that!
I only buy off the lot, I refuse to wait 2-3mo for a product. |

Get it! Doesnt sound bad at all. CA is something i most certainly would NOT wait for.
I got mine right off the showroom floor, so go out there and get it! Only thing I was missing was sport seats and aluminum dash which I could live without. |

How attracted to Montego blue are you ?
If you can accept Space grey (I think it's stunning), then go for the one available. If your dealer is reasonable, he should be willing to swap trims for you (aluminum for grey poplar); it only takes about an 1-2hrs. to do the changeover.

I'd tell the dealer you're tempted, but at the same price, you'll wait for your car to arrive. 10-1 they come back with a lower counter-offer on the one on the lot.. then you might be swayed in that direction.

I like KevinC's thinking, wonder if they'd bite
I say wait. Get what you want. And then you can go crazy with the rest of us who are waiting... misery loves company Both colors are nice BTW, grey poplar is "new" too, would be nice. Good luck.

Wait...for the gray poplar if not for the comfort access. The latter as you know cannot be retrofitted from the dealer. Everyone that has it praises it for its convenience. I personally love the space gray but its just me.

Comfort Access is nice to have, but I don't think it'll do much. Now, space gray is an awesome color. Combined with Corel red interior and gray poplar wood trim, it's hella package and will blow your mind.

Every other car seems to be either black, white, silver, or grey. I'd wait for something unique. The added benefit is you'll get what you want, not what someone thinks you want.
