iPod/iPhone Audio and Video Integration

Hey guys, I'm new to this forum along with my recently purchase of an '06 330i with iDrive.

I'm looking for a way to be able to play/display audio and video from my iPod or iPhone. Maybe I didn't search hard enough or properly but I haven't seen a audio AND video solution

I've been looking around at the different iPod/iPhone integration solutions and it seems like the Dension Gateway 500 and the mObridge would do a good job of providing control and displaying the song info on my iDrive screen.

On the video front it seems like TVandNav2Go will get me video inputs for the nav screen.

Has anybody tried using the Dension Gateway 500 with the AVR adaptor? I get the impression that the ARV adaptor only gets me a video output and that I would need the TVandNav2Go module to be able to get the video signal to the iDrive screen.

Any help or ideas is much appreciated.

I'm bumping this thread. I'm also looking for info on how to display my iPod classic info on my iDrive/Nav screen.

I know there is a cable that plugs into the AUX in the head unit directly to the dock connector on an iPod Classic/Nano (probably not touch/iphone).

My question builds on the original one... the dealer says that the cable is available, however, quoted 3hours labour to install it because it had to be programmed. Does anyone know:

A) What the part number for this cable/brain unit is
B) Is it hard to install in an E90?
C) Does it need to be programmed or anything BMW dealer-specific
D) Cheapest place to get parts (preferably in Canada)

Thanks in advance to everyone's help and consideration.

I think I'm over wanting video on my screen as well. Seems quite a bit cheaper to just go for the integrated audio for my iPod.

Anybody have some experience with the mObridge interface versus the BMW interface?
