question

hey all, my installer told me to cut some type of hole inside the car so the bass can pass through .... he said bmw trunk is very enclosed and the bass can't go anywhere with out cutting some type pass through hole ..... if i do that will the sound make a difference....has anyone done this before ?

on my old 5 series i cut the plate between the seat and trunk out...it made a difference but i wouldnt recemend it, ive also heard u can cut baseball size holes on the rear deck that helps...hope this helps
