I went to BMW and found out to my surprise that my 06 330i is pre-wired for Satellite radio which made my day.

Dealership quoted me $320 out the door for installation which includes everything including the software update. This was after negotiating and even calling another dealership to try to get a cheaper price.

The reason I have to go to the dealership is b/c of a software update. Any better way to do this?

$320 for the module, bracket, and programming is a great price.

No, I would provide all the equipment and the 320 is just for the labor and installation.

hmm. I was charged 1 hour of labor for programming after installing it myself.
the install instructions site 1 hour total install time.
320 is a bit pricey.
