Hail Tragedy

Well... I was at work and a nasty hail storm came down all over town and dented the heck out of my whole car.

I took it to my insurance company's claim office and they gave me a check for $2500.

I was thinking about getting a carbon fiber hood and trunk and having the roof repaired with a dentless repair company. Does anyone know of a reputable shop that will do this kind of work here in AZ?

call the dealership

In ATL they have a dent wizard guy in the service area. Call the service dept of your dealership and ask them for a reference.

I would hold off on getting the carbon fibre hood and trunk, wait a while untill the market is saturated with more manufacturers and retailers so that you can pick the best quality with a decent price. You don't wanna overpay for some cheap carbon fibers

sorry about what happened~

Yeah...it sucks because I take so much care of it and now it's not perfect.

The only thing I like about the seibon hood is that it's lighweight so I would probably paint over the carbon fiber. I kind of like the CSL style trunk in carbon fiber though.

Anyway...thanks a lot. I'll try Dent wizard.

They gave you a check? What if it costs more than that to fix? Your comprehensive should pay for the actual cost of repair... one would think.

Holy crap, where in AZ did you get pelted? I've been out of town all week, don't know what the weather was like down here in Chandler. What's up with the monsoon still hanging around? Crazy!

I sure hope $2500 is enough to cover proper repairs. How did they come up with that figure? Sounds like somebody pulled it out of the proverbial asspipe.

I live in Rio Rico,AZ about 15 minutes away from the border. The ice was the size of golfballs.

The $2500 is their initial figure, which I got a check for the day after it happened. If there are any additional dollars required they will pay the differance.
