seagull hit my car!

Driving home from work yesterday on the phone and suddenly I hear a loud 'THUMP' right next to me on the driver side. All I see is a bunch of feathers. Looked in the rear view and it was a seagull!

Flew right into my driver side mirror and folded it in. Luckily there was no damage to the car or the seagull. I was in downtown LA, so what are the chances of that happening? Just have to when i think about it.

When I was growing up my father told me how to cook a seagull.
  1. Take a large pot of water, a seagull, and a brick.
  2. Put the seagull and the brick into the water and bring to a boil.
  3. Boil it until you can stick a fork into the brick.
  4. Remove seagull and brick.
  5. Throw the seagull away and eat the brick; it will taste better.

... you probably hit a Al-Queda Seagull on his practice suicide run. just glad nothing happen to your car, still under collision coverage if it did

Whew, that was lucky. I head seagulls are really expensive to repair!

was using the hands free BT, so I wasn't distracted. I had the right of way though, that damn seagull should've yielded.

i was driving southbound on 405 one time with my old trooper and the cars before me were dodging a seagull. and the seagull was flying right in front of me afterwards for a few seconds.

and last week i saw a dog's head on the freeway with blood all over the road northboud of 405. that was so gross. poor dog. must have jumped out of the owner's vehicle.

You can say that again Matt!

I think we're going to have a fun day with Floyd at the grill!
