It's probably glued on like the rain sensors. Why would you want to remove your breaklight?

I have a rattle coming from the light. I can move the light left and right but cannot remove it from the window, so maybe it is glued. Thanks man. Ill try to fix it somehow.

I have the same rattle. There is something loose inside rattling around. IT is driving me crazy. I can't quite understand your instructions to remove the gray cover. Do you pull down from rear and then side the panel back toward the back of the car?

To replace, do you slide it back and then push it UP ?

Don't want to break anything.

Thanks.

I have the answer!

Just happened to have removed this light about a week ago because for some reason the glass inside of it got dirty (foggy) and I had to clean it out.

There are two black clips on each side of the light. Looking up at it from inside the car you'll see the clips. Slide the one on the right to the right and the one on the left to the left. It takes a bit of force, at least it did for me, and the clips slide off and then the light assembly comes right off. To put back up simply hold the light assembly in place and slip the clips back on and push to lock them in place.

I need to get in there too. The tint shop got soapy water in there so it looks all nasty. I've just been lazy/waiting for clear instructions haha.

What type of tool did you use to slide the clips off?? Flathead?

Thanks to DJ & this old thread, I was able to sweep out a bug that died inside the brake light compartment. And dust up!
