Some help please?

k basically i have a 3 series professional stock head unit..ive herd if u put in a amp it'l improve the sws u got alredi..so yeh..i have this amp http://www.justkenwood.co.uk/stock01/kac9104d.asp already from my old car used to power two x 12 inch rockford punch subs..can i hook this up onto my bmw head unit n make it power my sws stock easily?? will it work or will it blow it ? im not sure ...thanks

It helps if you dont type phonetically. SWS subs are upgraded 8" subs for under the seat, if your car comes with them already. There would be no reason to put a separate amp to the stock under seat subs, you'll just blow them.

lol sorry. One more question about the prof. Headunit, Can i directly just insert the wire into the headunit from the amp? or will I need a converter of some sort?

You need to do some research. Search the forums for your answers. There are TONS of posts on how to tap into your headunit. FYI..Its all in the trunk, you tap into the wires there.

Yeah ive been looking round the forum quite alot and i have a UK model which has the the two subs under the seat powered by the head unit. it has no amp or anything. So im looking to find out how to wire the amp directly to the headunit and i am a bit confused..so i need some help of what i need to do ..

Thanks.. just realised im going to need some sort of converter thingy to make it play with my headunit as it doesnt have a RCA. Im not looking to purchase a new amp or headunit i.e. the plug n play one

it says that my stereo is powered by the radio..so yea theres a built in amp in the head unit?
