Good info.

You cite one of the reasons I stopped posting colors. They change (I answered wire color questions for car alarms for years, I know : )

Good job finding them. You can always test with a voltmeter and your fade and balance controls.

You can always test the speaker outputs in a similar fashion, but with a small battery after you've identified the pair of wires as having a voice coil impedance across it...

Speaker outputs remain the same...

No matter what I do with the balance and fader - ALL of the inputs read +5v (~.5v)

Ive given up and just bought line output converters.

Even in systems like old BMW DSP and Toyota JBL with unchanging preamp signal levels, the spekaer outputs HAVE to chagne.

If the fader is working and the voltmeter isn't displaying the change, then your use of the voltmeter is the issue, I'm afraid.

I'm sorry that you seem discouraged, but I have no idea how LOCs will solve your problem, either.

I got it installed and sounds great...

I left the factory amp in, Pulled the remote turn on signal wire off the factory harness.

Pulled the High level outputs from the factory amp out, into LOC's then used the low lwvels form the LOC's for my Amp.

VP- the speaker OUTPUTS from the amp were chaging.. But the signal from the factory head unit to the factory amp never budged. Maybe I was doing it wrong as Im not an expert.. But 40 bucks worth of LOC's solved my problem by grabbing the factory amp outputs.

Your Morels sound great... I like them..

Right now car has-
Factory HU
Morel Dotech 4" / Tweeters up front (I set the crossovers to +3 on the tweeters by the way - not sure if thats right but I like it)
Factory rear speakers (may replace with infinity)
Earthquake SWS-8 under the seats
Apline PDX-5

It s VAST improvement over the stock Hifi system.

You can identify the wires by pin # assignments using the same diagram regardless of wire colors... http://www.fdebrus.be/car/hifi.jpg
