Where to get remote turn on for an amp?

Just as the title states this is for the low end Hi-fi...

Well.. I have the OEM HIFI amp and trying to get the remote for my extra amp from the pin 10.
Yes I checked the pin 10 with meter. It gives you 12 volts remote, which goes off few minutes after turing off the car.
BUT, I couldn't find the pin10 wire (thin black wire). Should I open the whole socket and connect a wire to it?

Remote is pin 10, if there is no thin black wire then there's no problem as what's important is the 12V switching on and off with the OEM HU at that pin.

Just tap that wire, no need to open that connector. If that wire cannot turn on your amp then you will need to use a relay -search for the schematic on how to use a relay with that wire, I posted it some time ago.

But as I said there is not any wire connecting to the pin 10. Should I open the connector and wire it out?

So which "pin 10" has a switching 12V source? You cannot have 12V without a wire...

Hey Technic... I found the thin black wire.. My mistake. I taped the wire and used as remote. Worked great.

That thin black wire is about the thickness of a human hair. I don't know why they couldn't have used an 18 gauge wire, for strength and reliability if nothing else.

Is the thin black wire connected to the amp or HU? I don't want to run wire through the cabin and take out the HU (i am lazy).

In your 2006 330i (Logic7 system standard) the OEM remote turn on signal is at the back of your OEM HU/iDrive at pin 13.

There's no remote signal at the OEM amp (digital message turn on thru MOST).

Take out the AC controls, remove the radio faceplate, then unscrew the 4 philips head screws. Removing the harnesses/wires in the back can be tricky. The main harness has a lever that you flip down.
