Need Advice on 335i

I went to test drive a 335i coupe today. I won't go into a long review but I'll just say that I want one and I am convinced I won't miss my 545i. The power is just insane and I believe it would take my 545i.

Anyway, onto my question.

My lease isn't up until February. I have to make my last payment in January.

My salesman said that he can get the dealership to make my January payment for me and get me in the 335i at the end of December. I suspect he is doing this to get another sale in before the end of the year. It also works to my advantage because I want the car yesterday!!

My question is: Is it possible I would get a better lease rate in January vs. December? Am I in anyway getting screwed here? What else does he have to gain getting me in the car earlier?

Thanks!

Salemen always want to close the deal *NOW*
I don't think there'll be much difference between Dec/Jan as far as rates go.

I'm planning on closing my deal about that time for a spring delivery.
The wait is killing me already.

Thanks! I guess if they will cover the last payment it may not be a bad deal. He told me though that they are not discounting the 3 coupes at all at first.

if you look at "cash-over-time" aspect then what you have to loose is all the little fees that you will have to pay in december rather than in January. So you basically are paying a fee that you could have paid few months later.

thats' about it.

I heard that in December dealers have hard time moving cars so they tend to get closer to invoice prices.

Good advice. Thanks! My decision seems to be getting easier!
