drivers seat

Anyone figured out a self fix for the drivers seat, pop and snap over any pressure applied to the seat? I know a few had this, haven't heard an update. I have moved my seat in every possible adjustment, it does not help. Seems to be behind the plastic part with the seat controls, so I don't have access to that area. If I pull out or stuff something between that and my seat, it is not as loud. This is something I doubt the dealer wants to listen for. Any input? thanks

Exactly, I guess everyone fixed the noise that had this problem earlier, must be a secret.

In my X, that same sound was because the seat was lowered too far and the control panel rubbed against the carpeting when one moved in the seat (also had the sport seats). But I have the seat higher in the 3, and it still does it. It is annoying!

Any solutions?

Folks, sorry to bring back an old thread, but I suppose it's better
than starting a new one

Has anyone recently had this problem and had to solve it on
an '08 model? I am referring to the odd popping sounds that
come from the driver's seat. It seems to happen when you
first sit in it, or brake hard, then accelerate etc.

The dealer solution is moving towards a dissection of the seat,
which will probably open a whole new can of worms

What else can we do? Just live with it???

It's a popping/clunking noise that comes from
somewhere in the driver's seat that happens:

- when you first sit in the car
- when you get out of the car
- when you brake or turn relatively hard, or accelerate
after said brake or turn

I did a search and it looked like a lot of people had
problems like this, but I could not find any posts
with a resolution...
