Trunk Trim Removal on e90

I am installing some amps on the driver's side of the trunk of my e90 and I can get all the trim off except the gray plastic piece right below the trunk lid at the very back of the trunk. There are four hard plastic grommets (see the diagram below marked 6 and 7) which I have tried prying at but they won't come out. I am about to break the head off of one.

I think they are covering screws which I need to loosen to get the drivers side molding off so I can install the amps.

Any ideas how to get these grommets off without breaking them?

Thanks, I searched and searched but couldn't find any info on this.

Screwdriver or plies and pull. There is also a BMW tool that costs alot. Make sure your pulling just the grommet and not the base. And yes, there are also two screws on top. Pop those tabs and then unscrew.

yea, or you can use a wire cutter...soemthing that has a flat face and allows you to gently leverage out the bit.

just make sure you dont squeeze the whole way or you'll cut the top off of it..they are cheap replacement parts tho, about $0.35 each
