2006 E90 vs. 2007 E92 - small differences

This might be different for the 2007 E90's, but I thought I'd share.

3 things I've noticed that the 2007 E92 has that are different from the 2006 E90 (other than obvious exterior ones)

1) Clown nose is smaller
2) dash nobs have chrome accents
3) Tunk has a little holder to keep trunk well open

'Grats on the beautiful car! I was seriously considering a Silver/Black Sport/Manual 328i yesterday, but decided to pass. Your pictures make me regret it! =P The aluminum interior accents and the smaller clown nose are little cherries on top.

yep, 330i has the trunk compartment lid holder thingy - you have to give it a nice thump upwards to get it in.

Thanks for the details

I still cannot get over the fact that the MPG gage is gone. It's been on every BMW i saw since my 1987 325is. I am actually disappointed.

Why exactly? The IS300 has one and I hardly ever pay attention to it. You can also tell a rough idea of how much gas you're using by just knowing whether you're accellerating or coasting or staying a constant speed. A trip MPG digital readout is much more useful, IMO.

Actually the only gage that is a must is the speedometer. You can also get a rough idea of the RPM by listening to the engine or calculating the speed to the gear ratio, but the tachometer makes it easier. It's also a "cool" factor of it. But I agree with you, it's not overly useful, but still more useful than the temp gage imo. The temp gage moves so little I rarely look at it (on the cars that had it). I even blew up a sentra engine before because I did not notice it overheating. I find the warning light/beep idea on such event much more useful and sufficient.

The clown nose on my E90 is the same as the one shown in your photo. Mine's a 07/2005 built.

There is still a digital instantaneous mpg available via the conputer (as well as the average mpg that's always been there).

Hehe, no big deal, it seems I'm the only one who prefers the mpg gage to the temp one, so I cannot blame BMW for changing that. Anyway my E90 has the MPG gage so I'm happy. I will miss it when I eventually buy a new BMW.

I like ...
1) Clown nose is smaller
3) Tunk has a little holder to keep trunk well open

Some people have said that the 330 has #3, can anyone confirm if the 325 has it too?

Also, the coupe's windows open about 1/4" right when you open the doors, so it clears the door frame.

You don't need the kidney grille either, but...
