Here's the pics - not as bad as it could have been - must have been doing good 20mph and we kind of collided at strongest points of each car - good job - other guy had three kids in the back of his....
He pulled across my lane right at the last minute to avoid the exit slip road and that was that. All OK thankfully. Just loading my car now to a flatbed for a holiday at the bodyshop bring on the 116d hire car Last edited by themetz; 08-27-2009 at 12:34 AM.. |

Thats not great buddy BUT the most important thing is that everyone is OK!!
Cars are so strong nowadays aren't they, although the Focus has defo come out worse. The M3 doesn't look 'too' bad damage wise. The Vorsteiner lip must have fell off at the roadside |

Yep - definitely could have been much worse!
Estimate for repair so far is £5k+ As it's a no fault claim, I've been loaned a '58 E92 M3 (shame, I was almost looking forward to tiddling about in a 1 litre diesel) which would appear to have been abused for the last 11,000 miles of it's life - it's in unimaginably awful condition - and the other guy's insurance is paying nearly £500 a day for the pleasure... ouch! It's also a manual I'm an absolute modding virgin - apologies - wouldn't really know where to start and pretty much love(d) my car as it is! ... maybe when she's back home and settled in I could have a meddle! |
