Valentine 1 Fuse Location:

Hi Folks:
I just picked up my 2009 335i coupe yesterday & am really impressed. I hard wired a Valentine 1 today but am strugling with finding the right fuse location that works with just the key on? I've read several great posts on this but my fuse panel is evidently different??? Is this a 2009 thing? I used an add a fuse but I can't seem to find anything that works with just the key on & doesn't screw up something else. Any help with fuse number or picture would be greatly appreciated. It has Idrive if that matters.
Thanks
John

I think it depends on the year/model/options of the car. Look up the fuse tap DIY and see which fuse they tapped into. The "number" of the fuse didnt work for me, but the "picture" is what I searched for on my fuse card.

Hi jdickey, and welcome to E90post!

I don't know exactly how your fuse diagram is set up, but the fuse slot that I used was the Homelink slot. The Homelink turns on and off with the car, plus there's not a lot of amperage going through that, so I felt it was a pretty safe one to tap.

Thanks for the help. I was having trouble finding a key on only circuit in the fuse panel. I'm not sure where the homelink fuse is? It's not 28 in mine? This circuit stays on all the time? My diagram just has pictures listed on it instead of names so it's hard to know exactly what circuit they are. Anyway I found one that seems to stay on for about 15 minutes after the ignition is switched on & comes back on when you unlock the car.

Many Thanks

John

PS: Really happy with the car! Just got out of a 2007 Acura TL type S & there's no comparison.
