330 chrome tip install for 325....is this right?

(see pic) do I need to push the tip in more or is this as far as it can go?
me & my friend got the 330 chrome tip and we're both clueless

one tip is supposed to stick out farther than the other. But it looks to me like both tips need to go in more...

Use a rubber mallet to get them all the way in. It wont be flush, there will be a little space there, but not that much And yes they should be staggered. I added the chrome exhaust tips to my 325 as well as the chrome front grilles, let me know if you want me to take a few pics

Why are they so crappy and dirty?...I would have left the stock one on, those look really bad!

I'm assuming they were shinny at some point. But, he has been driving with them in that position for quite sometime, therefore the tips have picked up dirt and grim as a result.

It could be rust , I mean he did install the tips incorrectly. So the segment that was not suppose to be exposed to the elements, it was to be covered by the stock pipes, was now exposed and vulnerable to rust.

BTW - How was the Style 162 cake? I never quite followed up on that topic.

I tapped mine on with the heel of my hand. But if you have soft little sissy hands, then use a rubber mallet.
