Screw that. Before the dealer takes possession of your car, you give them strict instructions to leave your bumper alone. You'll deal with the consequences.

it was there before i even purchased it or saw it or anything
i think the story was that one lady got pulled over for not having a front plate and blamed the dealer and in order to prevent any more potential issues they started putting them on all their cars except M models |

Yeah... that's what you get for living in CA. Got a front plate ticket a few years ago on my 325i. Not sure who I was more pissed off at, the dealer, CA or the asshole cop.

Yup, the dealer drilled into my baby too. I told him not to do it and he said alright but when I took delivery, he said he had to because it there was a potential risk or something like that because it was cali law. I'm pretty sure that's bs but I was too excited that day to play hardball.

Fact is, there really isn't any justification for the dealer drilling holes into your bumper. It's easy enough to explain away the lack of holes. Got a new bumper recently. Dealer had holes in the original bumper. Whatever. Dealer: no holes!

I got lucky. Just bought my E92 off of New Century's current stock, and to my surprise, the front plate bracket was not mounted
