Goodyear F1 Asymmetics or Vrdestein Ultrac Sessantas?
Just got a set of Morr VS7s (thanks to Astris!) that will be refinished and powdercoated over the next few days. The question is what tires should I get for them? I've heard good things about both and price wise, I think I would be able to get a better deal on the Vredesteins. But I would be OK in spending a little more if the Goodyears are that much better but don't want to spend PS2 prices.
FYI, I haven't but plan on doing just a few track events a year so I'm looking for tires that will perform in those few instances where I take it out to the track but have great street manners both in the wet and dry. BTW, does anyone know what kind of life (mileage) I should expect out of either tires? TIA. BTW, I'll also take any suggestions regarding colors for powdercoating. My initial thought is to go with an OEM type silver finish (clearcoated, of course). I'm not too keen on gunmetal for my car as I think it is a little too close to the car's paint color. The wheels will be going on a SG E90. Thoughts? |
