Road Rash on Type 162...Can it be fixed?

I scrapped a curb pulling out of a parking spot and rashed about 2 inchs of the outside of my rim...right UNDER the tire part that is supposed to protect it..and then a small divot..litte further around...any chance of fixing it to look new or do I just buy a new rim?

I am in Maryland and it is the passenger side rear rim...

I can't believe I f***ed it up! I am so mad at myself!!

Rashes can always be fixed but sometimes it might not be worth it depending on cost.

I would get a quote from a wheel repair shop.

It definitely can be fixed. It usually is around $75-150 per wheel.

Give Dan from Wheeldoctor out of Gaithersburgs, MD a call and he can fix it for you for $100 or so. He rapaired a couple of my wheels for me and he actually comes to your house to pick up your damage wheels and returned them back in a day or two.

Cool! Although...going to be hard to pull that one off since I have to have the vehicle to drive...to work. Hmmm..oh well at least he is close...so, maybe we can work something out.

Thanks! I was hoping I could find some local with good references!

I'll see if I can find a website for him!
