winter tires - need help!
I am looking to get the best winter boots for my Cleo, so I set my eyes on either Nokian Hakka 5 or Gislaved NordFrost 5. Since Gislaveds have only one size in 18", I am leaning towards Nokian Hakka 5 studded tires:
http://www.nokiantires.com/tyre?id=1...akkapeliitta+5 In 18", they have: 225/40R18 92T XL 235/50R18 101T XL 255/45R18 103T XL So, 225/40R18 92T XL should be good for the front, but do you think 235/50R18 101T XL will be OK for the rear? The wheels I plan on getting are 8.5x18"ET34 \ 9.5X18"ET37. What do you think guys? Or should I go to 17", since there is more availability in tires sizes? Thanks. |

I think I'll go down to 17" for Cleo's winter boots. Are there any 17" gunmetal afters you'd recommend?
Also, I was told by a friend that I could run same size tires in back as the ones in the front. Is that correct? Thanks. |

Yes, you can indeed run the same size on all four corners with no problem.

235/50/18 is the wrong size for the e9x. Go with 225/40/18 all around. And why so wide rearwheels?

Forget my first post. I will be running 225/45/r17 studded Hakka 5 on all corners. If a winter is bad, the snow removal process in Montreal sucks.
Now the problem is to find decent looking 17" wheels I searched a Canadian company - http://www.carmodifier.com/default.a...on=wheelBrands with 17 diameter, 5x120 pattern and 30-40 offset, but I am not sure which brands are good. Please advise. |

All 17" OEM e9x wheels will fit though.

But I've read in here that not all aftermarket wheels, replicas included, will fit over the brakes on the 335i. If you're buying from Tirerack, they should know what 17" wheels that will fit your car.
