Winter Setup - Earlybird
Greetings all,
I am getting a head start on a winter setup and need some recommendations. I have a 2009 E92 335i M Sport and I hear that running 225/40-18s is a decent idea. What would be the idea rim size front and back with offsets for it to still look good. The car is currently not lowered. It is possible in the future that I will lower it 1 inch with coilovers in the summer and raise it in the winter.

I have that setup and have stock sport suspension and I'm close to scraping with the deep ruts. Any lower and you probably will have a tough time driving in the winter unless you get a taller sidewall.

I ran 225/40/18 last winter lowered and it did pretty well considering all factors. 17's will do marginally better, but there is a trade off aesthetically.
Blizzack LM25s on 189's with 15mm RE spacers. Hope that helps. |
