Do I need to lower my ride?

Hi, everyone. I saw some good looking cars and wheels combination. But not sure if the cars have been lowered to get that kind of look.

I have a 2009 e92 AWD, thinking about getthing either a 19" or 20". I am not going to lower my ride, so any suggestions which size will look better? Will my car look taller on 20" than 19" since the wheel diameter is bigger?

Thanks in advance.

Thanks for all your responses above. But the reality is I am in Canada and the winter is terrible here so not a good idea to lower the car. Too bad I should have chosen a warmer place to live on this planet.

esp. AWD. I think RWD, lowering is an option but AWD sits like SUVs so I think it's really the must have item.

It'll look tall on 20". Get it lowered and go with 19".

Getting bigger wheels will not gain you any appreciable reduction in fender/wheel gap, you'll need lower springs or coilovers.

Going with 20's will not help either in the snow, 19's and a drop ftw

Get coilovers and raise it back up for the winter! Or you can get lowering springs and swap in your stock springs for winter.

Or in all reality a lowered stance does not make driving in the snow any more difficult (within reason). You have awd, you should be fine.
