where can i buy the white time attack rings to go on my wheels... sorry if this is a dumb question

What wheels are they going onto?

EAS does sell TA rings that fit our VMR VB3's but could possibly be modified to fit other wheels.

Yeah depending on what wheel it is, this vinyl might work out, but it really depends. For best verification take a picture and I can let you know but nothing is going to fit absolutely perfect unless it's VMR's VB3 Wheel:

they are going on bbs ch black edition wheels, they already have a chrome time attack stripping but i want a bigger thicker white stripe around it instead

Pep Boys and Autozone sell the sticker rings. You may want to look into getting them painted properly.

Its purely aesthetics. The name came from the Volk Racing wheels which offered a "Time Attack" paint scheme wheel.

The original Time Attack from Volk Racing (Ray's Engineering).

They used these at tracks doing "time attacks" which are like qualifying laps where you set the car up for 1 fast lap. (like in Nascar, they tape up the bumpers which will eventually overheat the engine but it is ok for a time attack/qualifying lap).

There really is no great significance, the colored rim on the wheels have been around before VOLK. VOLK just gave the color scheme a name, "Time Attack", and made it known on their TE37s and CE28Ns.

The word, "Time Attack", is an event in which track cars bomb through a track in 1 lap setting the fastest time they can, often it is to set or break track times.

i am actually planning on doing it, i had the vinyl on at first and wasn't happy with durability, anybody know a place that will paint TA rings in SoCal?

Give Mag Masters a call. They are located in Santa Ana and may be able to do custom pin striping.
