Nail in tire, can this be patched?

So I took this over to Long Beach BMW and they said they only did tire replacements.

I am under the impression that this can be patched. Can anybody direct me to a place in Socal where they can patch RFT's?

Most ma and pa tire shops will patch a run flat.
My last one that I had patched I used Speedwurks in Duarte
1400 Mountain Ave # Cdg

of course Long Beach BMW told you they can only do tire replacements....because....first....they do not have the "equipment" to patch tires, and second....then they can sell you another runflat tire for 500 bucks plus labor!!!

just take it to most tire shop and they can fix it for you, as long as the puncture is not close to sidewall....

You can definitely patch RFTs. My dealer in PA patched my winter RFTs without any questions. You can patch it yourself pretty easily with a kit from any auto supply store.

That is soooooo patch-able. It's right in the middle of the tire. And don't let people tell you that you can't patch a RFT.

I get a lot of nails from parking at construction sites and have always patch my own tires. Go to Autozone and get a patch kit. It's about $10 and it's good for at least 5 patches. Also, it's good to keep a kit in your car since we dont have a spare.

if you actually ran the tire with little or no air I would personally not be comfortable with re-using that tire (heat from zero air pressure use is what eventually causes the tire to fail)

what's the difference between a "rft" patch and a conventional patch?
