Anyone running on Bridgestone RE-11s?

So far I've read nothing but great reviews on Tirerack about this tire. Does anyone on here have them on their e9x?

I was thinking about getting two 245/35/19 (maybe 235 if they'd rub) and two 275/30/19 for my e92's VS8s.

there's a dude on here who ran them at Cal Spdwy on his VS7s.

Adv Search in this subforum for them. SN of something like "hit apex"

I personally wouldn't take stock in his opinions on the tires. Why? Cause he got them for free for writing positive words about them. (forgive me for drinking the haterade)

EDIT: here it is... http://www.e90post.com/forums/showth...ht=bridgestone

I don't know offhand who here runs this tire, but I was considering this tire but ended up going with PS2's for better tread wear.

Good point. I never really looked at treadwear grades when looking at tires. The RE-11s have a 180. That is a step up from my current tire (Pole Positions have 140), but definitely way under what PS2's have (220).

I think it's still a minor factor for me since these are for my summer wheels only.

I'm not really sure how accurate these *ratings* are. The rear Potenza's that came with the car lasted me only 18K, my F1 GSD3's lasted me about 20K. I hear other E9x owners with PS2's get about 15-18K from the rears. The rating's are not standard across the industry.

I went with GY Asymmetric F1 due to the tread wear rating, their high rating in comparison tests and price. I was right with my choice.
They are fantastic in all conditions. On the street they are quiet and don't tramline. In the rain there is so much grip you swear it's dry. On the track they are superb in their feedback, grip, breakaway characteristics and wear.
Another plus is the rim protector to help with lower profile tires on bad roads.
I love these tires and will get them again.

I have RE01's on my M3 and they are awesome and from what I have read the 11's are supposed to be "better." I'll buying a set once these wear out.

Iv never driven on the RE11's yet, but I have on their previous RE01R's and they stick like glue on the track. One of the best street tires iv driven on by far.

Judging by the Re01's, these won't last 10K miles on the street. I am using my set strictly as a track/autocross tire except when I am too lazy to switch back.
Amazing grip, not enough tread wear to be a street tire. After all these are "extreme summers"
