19" tire suggestions for my xi

Wondering what size tires I should be buying for my XI. It's my first AWD car and the wheels are staggered so I want to be sure on the correct tire sizes before I make my purchase.

The wheels are OEM 225M's:
19x8 ET35
19x9 ET39

Thanks

235/35/19 and 265/30/19 works perfectly fine with your setup.

I think the OEM 19x8/9" wide staggered tires are 225/255 respectively. How different is the look of 235/265? Is there any advantage to either size?

wider looks better... not much advantage in an AWD for the larger/staggered set up, however I'm running 245f/275r with a drop and I have no rubbing issues at all.

Take a look at the Yokohama S.Drives if you're looking for summers. I just got mine last month and they are AMAZING. Sticky as glue on dry pavement and they do AWESOME in the rain (proved that yesterday durning the monsoon we go here going 60 on the highway while most cars were pulling over because of the down pouring).

I haven't bought tires yet but am looking for summers. Looking at Goodyear Eagle F1's and Continental Conti SportContact 3's right now...

This is what I'm curious about. I also think BMW's suggested tire sizing for the 225M's is 225F/255R but don't know if I should be going up a size respectively for the x-drive - to maintain the proper rolling diameter or any other advantage???

looks... if you want to maintain proper ratios you'd go same size all around. as long as you keep it 235/265 or 225/255 or even 245/275 (the ratio is less than 1% difference or something like that) you'll be fine.

275's would not fit on a 9 inch wide rim.

Do not do it.

I have 235/265 on OEM 230's, and Iw ould not go wider on OEM rims.

Aftermarket rims that are 9.5+ width can go 275 rear.

Since you are running an 8" rim in the front you can also go with a 225.35.19 in the front with a 265.30.19 in the rear.

This would be better for your Xi than the 235/265 setup due to the closer overall diameter between the front and the rear.

It's not a HUGE difference and either size would work, but the 225/265 setup would be a better long term size to run as the difference in height between the front and rear tire is less with that setup
