If it's a 2 piece wheel, you can buy a new barrel for it. You already have the centers and buying a barrel from i-forged and having your center installed should be about 1/2 the price of a new wheel. But if its a polished lip it can be repaired pretty easily without disassembling the wheel.

Im 90% sure you have a polished lip....If its 2 piece welded (probably is) then replacing the lip isnt an option..just get it fixed.

A polished lip will have "grains" in it and you can see that it has been polished. With a chrome finish you might be able to see it flaking off where it was damaged.

easy way to check if its' a polished wheel is, buy some Turtle Wax Polish/or some other cheap polish, and test a little out on a small spot on the lip. just rub a little in with a peice of cloth and if it a black residue appears after rubbing it for a short time then it's a polished lip. if no black residue appears then it's sealed and don't bother trying to use the polish anymore.

i called up iforged they told me if it's chrome it would flake off. appearly mine didn't. and my valve stem is inside the spokes so it's polished.

definitely calling up son tran too bad he doesn't come to my area that often.

ill post some pics up tomorrow

thanks guys!
