Question on Stainless lips
What's the best way to deter brake dust or at very least make it easy to remove from a stainless steel wheel lip?
I'm sure switching to ceramic pads would help a ton but I'm not going to pay for pads yet since I don't have to. I'm guessing I can wax/polish them like you would a painted surface but I'm curious to know if I'd just be wasting my time. thanks! |

I would generously polish the lip up with some Wheel Wax. We've used that over here and brake dust comes off with ease.

A low dust pad would have the greatest impact, such as the Akebono Euro Ceramic pads which are practically NO dust.
If you're stuck with the current brake setup (as most people are) then I would recommend using Wheel Wax to help deter brake dust as Charles said. |

I hate applying wheel wax, it takes too long. Instead I just choose to wash my wheels more frequently.
