At purchase time, the car was all stock, except for SuperSprint cat-back exhaust (original exhaust is included in the sale) and tinted windows. Since then, all scheduled service including brake fluid and coolant flushes were done and are documented. In addition, since this is my second car and is only driven about 8K per year, I changed the oil about half-way between recommended scheduled changes. Transmission and differential fluids were replaced with Red Line oils at 30K. Clutch Delay Valve had also been removed at the same time (will be included in sale). Last Oil Service done in April '09 at Knauz BMW. Rear tires were replaced at about 25K. Currently have about 60% of thread remaining. Front tires were replaced at 37K. Currently have 98% of thread remaining. Front brakes were replaced at 30K. This is my second M3 - I had an E36 before it, and also somehow managed to get great mileage out of tires and brakes on that one. I enjoyed every minute of driving these cars, but never beat on them. A couple of years ago interior door trim came undone so I took it to the dealer to get fixed under warranty. While clamping the new trim in place, they managed to crack the windshield and had to replace it. In November '08, the check engine light came on. The dealer did not find any meaningful trouble codes and sent me on my way. In February '09, the light came back. This time the codes indicated a permanent malfunction in the cat's and those were replaced by the dealer. In May '09, the DME was re-loaded as per recall. The car has always been stored in a garage and has never seen snow. It has never been in any accidents and has no paintwork except for me touching up a few pin-sized rock chips on the hood. Both rear wheels have some minor curb rash. Everything works as it should and the car needs nothing. I am looking to move to an M5 and would like to sell asap. With that said, please, no low-ballers - I am not in a hurry to sell. I have a clear title for the car and it is located in a Northwest suburb of Chicago, IL. Asking price is $28,600 obo.
