tires for the style 230 wheel?
I recently purchased a 2009 335i coupe. It has the optional 19 inch style 230 wheels. I know that the standard tire size is 225/35/19 in front and 255/30/19 in back. I am wondering if I could fit 235/35/19 in front and 265/30/19 in back without having to modify anything. I have noticed from shopping around that there are many more tire options if I go to the slightly higher cross-section width but I wonder if I will have clearance problems. I suppose I could keep the fronts at 225/35/19 and just go to 265/30/19 in back as there are also many more options for the fronts in that size as well. I am not sure what my best option is.
Any help/info is appreciated. Thanks. |

or on a very square tire you could always do 225-35-19 and 265-30-19.

I put the toyo proxes 4 in those sizes on mine and I honestly think they are the same width as the originals. They are okay tires, you give up some stability while cornering by going with non run flats but all in all so far in dry i am very happy with them. Have not had a chance to get them out in the rain yet. I have garaged the car each day of the past 10 because of the possibility of hail so when a storm has come, parked my car has been. The tires are a little more 'round' looking then the run flats too. They arent as square. THat may be what is throwing me off.

Hmm im running with
Front tires = 235/35/19 Rear tires = 265/30/19 and i think most members are running that setup...some tend to be more aggressive and run 275. i think it will be alright...265 just means thinner tires so you'll see more rim. check it out http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=243463
