Race Car Wheel Question 18x10 front

I'm working with the Bimmerworks Race Team (a 335 e92) and we're really looking for a cast wheel (not too expensive) that is light weight and an 18x10. We want to run this square of course and either 275 or 285s all around (Toyo DOT slicks). We'll be able to run enough camber to help out with clearance.

I found the Enkei NT03+M in an E46 M3 fitment. It's 18x10 et25.
Would this possibly work/fit? Would rolling fenders make them work?

I found the wheels for a little over $300 each and they weigh 20.5lbs according to Enkei. Right now we're running the OZ Alleggerita HLT in 18x9 (I'm not sure of the offset), but we're running 15mm spacers up front.
I've seen forum members running the Advan RS in 18x9.5 et25 up front with no rubbing issues. We initially thought about running the Advan RS's, but they were just too much money (over $500 each) when we're buying 8 - 12 rims.

I'm sorry, Did you say that your working with Bimmerworks Race Team? And you're worried about money building a "race car". Those things don't all seem to go together. You'll end up paying twice as much F'ing around trying to be cheap and make something that shouldn't work, work. Do it right the first time or change what you want your results to be to fit the budget.

it's a small private team so funds are not unlimited. I didn't ask about anything else other than the wheel fitment. Please stay on topic.
We ran the stock wheels with rain tires after the rain delay and were 11 seconds faster than the next car. We're not screwing around (we qualified second also - SCCA 12 hours of Summit Point).

et25 should give you enough clearance on the inside with no (or a small) spacer, so just cut the outside fender as needed to fit. you can then add a plastic flare over the cut fender if you wish, like so:

provided the "race car" isn't leased... hack up the fenders. Speed costs money. And, "good looks" are in the eyes of the beholder.

What does the race team give you in return for you asking internetz questionz?

No, the car definitely isn't leased. It's completely gutted with a full welded cage. We also still need to drop some more weight, but that's not going to be cheap (roof, hood, trunk etc). Cutting the fenders and possibly adding flares may work.

They do all the work on my car at their shop. They take care of me when I come in for something (LSD is on order and they'll be installing it in the next couple weeks).

OK. I don't think you'll be able to fit 275's or 285's up front with stock fenders. no matter what the wheel offset is. and in the rear the 275 or 285 will fit depending on what you have for a wheel well back there.

It looks like you have plenty of suspension. make sure the car is setup correctly, camber, toe etc with whatever square tire setup you can squeeze in.

As far as loosing weight...every 10lbs is about 1hp. you usually can get that with the right tire pressure/grip if you are only talking about saving 50 or 60 lbs

there is also a "Tracking, Race, AutoX" section toward the bottom of the tech board. Have a look around there to see what people are successfully runnin
