Variable Pre-Warning Zone BMW M3 2001
Hi Guys,
I have question that I need help with. The TACHOMETER use to display the ORANGE lights starting from 4rpm all the time. I change the oil and had the oil reset done. Now the display lights only comes on when I start the car when the engine is COLD from 6 RPM. When I start driving it goes dowm to 8 rpm and remains there. Is this normally how it works or is the lights suppose to start at 4RPM??? Any help would be appreciated to undersand how this works. Many Thanks, Dylan |

Wrong forum.
But to answer your question, the starting RPM depends on the temperature of the engine when you start it. If its a real cold day and the engine is not warmed up, it will be lower than if it is a warm day or if the engine is already warm from being used recently. |
