320d Sport exhaust.

As we all know, the exhaust down pipe is an issue for most M Sport 320d owners, it is for me!
After weeks of waiting, I was informed today that my original BMW Sport exhaust for the 320d will be in the UK tomorrow.
It's not cheap, but it does meet EU4 requirements and is only slightly more expensive that the particule filter factory fit option and is a dam sight better looking than my current exhaust!
I will take pictures of it tomorrow and add them to this thread.
I am not having it fitted tomorrow, but I will take picture of the tail pipe for all to see.
If anyone else is interested in purchasing one, maybe I could get a better discount?
I currently have 15% off the retail price and it's £50 to fit if you get the dealer to do it.
I have seen the DIY options on here and they are good, but I have always been concerned about voiding my warranty. With the mileage I do, my warranty is very important to me.
This way, I keep my warranty and the new exhaust is also covered!
SORTED!

A mind blowing £560.96p!, that include's my discount.

The retail price is £659.95p

I can not remember the price of the particule filter option but I do know it was £400+

Chris33, that is one huge spec on your car - and now another £600 notes on an exhaust. I'm sure there is good reason for it but did you not consider getting a lower specced 330d and solving the exhaust problem that way??!

Hi Ian,

I was so tempted by the 330d M Sport but I needed the excellent MPG the 320d gives as I do 25,000+ miles a year.

I also got a really good discount off my car and an early build slot, something I may/would not of got off a 330d.

I do miss the extra BHP of a 330, but to be honest, going up and down the motorway most of the time, I don't miss it to much.

Forgot to mention, called my dealer today and the exhaust is still not in

I've been told to call after 9am tomorrow, and hopefully, it will be in.

Still no exhaust!? It's only coming from Germany

A "Chip" will be my next "mod", but I'm still toying with the idea.

I'm still waiting for info from AmD and DMS. Superchips have all their info on the website.

jjbirch, have you had any problems with your upgrade? and how's the mpg?

I'm looking forward to some pics ! My 320d is coming in on monday but I didn't get a particle filter so my exhaust is aimed down. I've been thinking about getting it and adding a chrome tip. But I'm waiting for pics... Do you think it'll change the sound for the better...it still is a diesel

Why did you not just spec the DPF and you would have got the straight pipes as well?

Yes but a truck engine has 650bhp. That doesn't make it sporty. There is nothing sporty about a diesel engine especially when you compare it to the creamy, delicious petrol 6's.

Wrong powerdelivery and wrong engine sound

Depends what you class as sporty - obviously not torque or bhp for you

Agreed on the sound - I drive with my windows up and the radio / mp3 on anyway.

BTW - the truck comparison was lame.

Care to expand Whippersnapper? I'm always up for expanding my knowledge of "sporty" cars.
