sure sounds like it!

when I first saw you wrote 128 I was about to say you don't have the HPFP issues but then I realized you meant Route 128

My car has been having a strange time starting for last few months. Initial start in morning, it cranks for a bit. Took it to shop, they said it was fine. It doesn't seem to be getting worse, but it sort of sounds like crap in the morning. Rest of day it is fine and starts up fast.

BMW... *sigh*

So I dunno, I may be first 128i with some sort of fuel pump problem, causes it sure isn't the starter, and it runs weird for a few minutes after it starts (jumpy).

Gets worse; dealer confirmed fuel pump, all fixed, driving home it sounded like crap when pushing, check engine light came on again.

weird....must not be your hpfp then. altho, the long crank time is indicative of the pump on its way out, so at least you got that taken care of
