Ram Air Scoops & WA weather
Hello,
Is anyone using the Ram Air Scoops here in WA? I was just curious if there is problems with excess water going into into the intake. In WA, our weather can be terrible :/ I saw a post regarding that but nobody answered. Let me know your experience with them. Thanks! |

I've had them for like 5 month's now. So far so good, no hydrolock. The water that can make it pass the scoops have to go pretty far to get to the engine (up the scoops, through the snorkel, etc)

after filter, most of water at that point becomes mist and will get burnt up in the engine anyways from my understanding... i could be wrong though...

thanks a lot!
Yeah I kind of thought it wouldn't be a problem but at the same time, i'd feel like an idiot for being the only person in WA to use something that aided in pouring water into the engine I'm thinking of going with the Supreme Power scoops http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=166177 Any thoughts. Thanks! |

all scoops are same thing. i got RR scoop, happy with purchase. though MDF one looks fairly easier to install as you don't have to take grilles out, but overall you are looking at extra 5 minutes per side eitherways...

I put the Cyba scoops in a couple weeks ago and they are great.
