e90 clear corners

Hello, noob here, I am going to order a 2007 328xit soon, and I was reading posts on clear corners, but they all seem to be old. Has anyone been able to open up the xenon housings yet? On my X3, I paid $1500, and bought the euro clears, and later found out that I could have bought the halogen housing for about half that, and just changed out the front plastic peice which has the clear reflector in it. I assume that this can be done with the e90 as well, however all the posts that I have read people are saying that the xenon housings cannot be opened up. Also, has anyone been able to wire the angel eyes to come on with the ignition so that they are on all the time? I read the posts about teh piaa bulbs for the angel eyes, and I will be getting that as well. On my X3, my angel eyes come on with the ignition, and I really like that. tia
