Best wax for protection?

I do not wish to use a clear bra. But rather use a really nice wax thats good for protecting but also shines. :rocks:

NXT is easy to use, but it doesn't last long. about 4 weeks or less if you wash your car weekly. I used that before for about 4 months, until recentlly I switched to Zaino Z2-pro, which should last at least a few months. I still have half a bottle of NXT left, since I can't use it with Z2.

Another option is to use Zaino. Its not a wax, but a polish. It lasts Very long and the protection is amazing. Do a search on Zaino or to to www.zainostore.com

Zaino actually isn't a polish, but a sealant. The word polish is used incorrectly as a marketing term on Z2/Z5; Zaino's only real polish is ZPC. Regardless, it is very durable and will last up to 6 months in most environments. There are a number of other sealants with similar durabilty too, any of those will suit the OP.

When my car was parked outdoors, I would generally get about 6-9 months between waxes. Now that I have parking (but still drive my car year round), the water is still beading on my car after 11 months!

I use ICE, a product of turtle wax, which is a clear liquid, no haze, can be applied in sun or shade, and gives a great protective shine. Probably have to do it every 2 months.

Funny how Rejex never gets mentioned here. I use it for my wheels, mirror housings and front bumper/grilles/panels. Best I've found for bugs, road grime, brake dust, etc. WAY easier to use than Zaino and with two coats, just as effective. Rest of the car? NXT.

Best wax for protection? This is simple

Zaino
or
Klasse All-In-One and Sealant Glaze

This is not a personal preference thing. These are the two best for long term protection.

someone needs to talk with consumer reports then... they say "nu finish" has great longevity too... i think it sux...but that's my opinion... some others may love it.

if it wasn't a personal preference to some degree... there would only be a couple of waxes on the market.

Zymol concours waxes are very good - they look nice and have exceptional durabilty. That said, not everyone is willing to spend $300+ on a wax. I think in general when people ask for recommendations here they are talking about sub $100 products.
