Torn on a new Bimmer
I finally sold my Infinity G35 and am gunning for a new 335ix. I want a color that is not so common and thought of Monaco Blue or Platinum Bronze. I went ahead and ordered the JB3 even before I got the car I just want to know what color would be better for resale? I am leaning more towards the PB because I figure it would be easier to keep clean but do you think it is too much of a chick color? The dealer provided me a quote and part of the misc surcharges is something called "BMW VIP Packages". What the hell is that? Anyhow, I have been reading this forum for a while and happy to be here. I will be sure to post lots of pics when I get the car.

you don't have the car yet and you're worried about resale value already? Pick the color you LOVE, not the one that you think will net you a better resale value. I rather own a color I love for 5 years (or however long you plan on keeping the car) than to have a color that I'm indifferent to just so I can net maybe 500 bucks more come time to sell.

i agree, pick the color you like most.
for what its worth, gold-ish colors are not popular at all in california based on my own anecdotal evidence. might be different in canada. but since you want an 'uncommon' color anyways, that already by default means it's not very popular and thus would potentially hurt resale...

Get the color you want.
Unique color WON'T help your car's resale value. I mean, come on...There's literally millions of 335i's out there to begin with.... |

I agree with everybody. Just pick the color you want. But PB is a classier color (not girly), looks better on a 7-series IMO

Monaco Blue FTW!!!!! I agree with the previous posters on how the gold looks better on a 7, but then again, Monaco Blue on a big sedan would look damn good too.

Unlike that piece of garbage called the G35, (I had one so I know) the BMW holds its value quite well. I will NEVER own another Infinity in my life. Bimmer 4 LIFE!!

I wouldnt think blue was a girl color? it seems to be more popular with younger drivers...I know I wanted one in MB but went with TiAg based on availability.

This is a car that my wife will enjoy too. We have had 3 cars in the past 5 years with silver, blue and black. PB might be just a refreshing change. The 335ix I am looking at is a PB coupe with the sport package (oil cooler included), NAV, Audiophile package, and Exec Package. This is the nicest car I will have purchased so far so I want it special. I really appreciate the input and I am happy to be amongst all you knowledgeable members.

Colors of cars with the highest resale are silver, white and black.
/thread. Get what you want and stop worrying about resale.

i don't see very many Tiag coupes in my area....i wasn't a big fan of a silver car but now after owning it for a few months...its so easy to take care of...when its dirty its still looks relatively clean....perfect colour choice for a daily driver IMO....
