Getting screwed over at the tanning salon..

So at the beginning of last year i bought 400 minutes at a tanning salon, since then i have gone maybe 10 times and used 100 minutes.

The owner of the salon of whom i bought my minutes from sold the place to a new owner. I called today to make an appointment and i was told my minutes have expired!
I was like wtf are you talking about.... she told me when she bought the place a month ago she signed a contract with the former owner stating she doesnt have to honor the minutes until after a certain date.

She told me she posted a few signs around the salon when she bought it stating all old minutes will expire a month after she bought the place. I have not been in since then and have not seen the signs.

I told her that i did not sign any contract stating i was ok or aware of my minutes expiring at a certain date. She says that if i want my minutes i have to go after the old owner for my money back.

Is she allowed to do this? i am pretty sure unless i was aware of or was told my minutes were going to expire when i bought them, that they cant just take them away.
Do i have any legal grounds to get them back? or just say fuck it and go somewhere else?

Any lawyers on here want to chime in, please do!
