**Warning** Sub Installs!
Hey guys, Just thought I'd post and save someone a headache. For those installing a sub in the E90's and have to disconnect the battery to wire the car.
1) Make sure everything is connected the way it was so when the car starts it does not throw a code. 2) Double check. and last but least...... DO NOT flip out when the car spits a bunch of codes after the battery is reconnected and the car spits a million codes on the nav screen and or dashboard. Simply drive the car for a mitute around the block and everything will go away. The ECU will reset itself. I wish I would have remember this because this happens when you dyno a corvette and the front tires dont spin in the dyno. (I have a nice project I will post be posting pictures this weekend. I am having a custom fiberglass panel built into the side of the trunk with a Boston Acoustic G5 Sub and a 680Watt AMP from MTX audio.) |
