199 wheels update

Hi,

I had some update today about the 199 wheels.

So the problem is not the whells but the tyres( actually the rear tyres). So if you want to have non run-flat tyres on your car, you can order the 199 whells without any problems.

Howver, if you want the complete set (whells + run-flat tyres) yuo will have to wait a long time I think as there are already 250 orders waiting in europe.....

Hi, interesting , I had to accept my 330 on standard rims, the 19 inch x 179s, I was told by the dealer could not be fitted with standard tyres.......only run flats.

I am pretty sure (but not 100% sure) that you can fit non -run flat tyres on the 19 inch BMW wheels. anyone can confirm ?

I can't think any reasons why you couldn't fit non-run flat tyres.

You can fit normal tires on all the wheels, but you cant fit runflats and exect them to work properly on wheels without the EH2 hump

179s & 199s Runflats.

My dealer has told me he would like to fit standard ie non runflats to my 179s, as good customer relations are important, but BMW will only release the 179s & 199s as a wheels and tyre combination package, so its out of the dealers control. Looks like a long wait, prefer the look of Hargte, I think.

Schintzers Unavailable also.

Because BMW here in the UK cannot give a date for 199 & 179 release, I emailed Schintzer for wheels as demonstrated on there site.By return email I was referred back to BMW UK, guess what, yes they have no release date for Schintzer rims, this is a real lack of forsight.
