Your response is non sequitur. People that don't like his music won't buy it, ergo he will not "make a living off of haters", he will lose revenue because of them. The fact that he writes rhymes about his "haters" makes him just like almost every other rapper out there.

Your insinuation that people don't like him or his music are somehow whiners is laughable. I'm sure there are many people and/or artists' works that you don't like, and I'd bet you wouldn't conclude/concede that that fact somehow made you a whiner.

He has more style than any other rapper? Really? Even taking into account the fact that your statement reflects personal opinion (as does mine), your statement is still a stretch of the imagination.

I've quite literally been listening to hip-hop since before you were born, and I can tell you there were artists that were arguably more talented than Kanye even in 1988. Rakim is one, KRS would also fit the bill IMO. If I don't limit myself to artists before 1989, the list would grow considerably; Atmosphere, The Roots, Gang Starr, Nas, A Tribe Called Quest, Souls of Mischief, Masta Ace, Pharcyde, Wu Tang, GZA, etc., etc., all of which I'd probably rather listen to than Kanye. Of course I will not deny that every album or song put out by the artists I mentioned above hasn't been perfect, far from it, but that leads me to my next point.

The fact that people will "eat up" "anything" he puts out merely serves to reflect the extent to which rap has been commercialized, and to which fanboyism has largely supplanted selectivity.

im not saying his haters are buying his albums, not in the literal sense, haters and doubters were fuel/driving force for much of his material. have you ever even listened to his albums? i doubt it, but go ahead and say you did to make your point. either way, he's made his mark, let it go
