ok long story short, over the weekend me and some friends went to a party. i got wasted and apparently bumped into some guy who spilled his drink on this girl's laptop. she wants me to pay for it cuz i'm supposedly the initial reason for this shit.

i have to talk to her tomorrow about it. most i'm paying for is half...that's the most. i don't remember anything from the party, so i'm only going off of what my friends have said. fucking macs cost so much to repair.

my reasons for thinking i'm good:
1) negligence on her part - don't have an open laptop out at a party, seriously wtf.

2) i bumped into somebody, so at the most it's a 50/50 fault situation to me.

does this sound right?

i don't think it will. she'll be fucked too. we're all underage at that party. i don't even know if they'd care about it. i'm thinkin it'll be easiest to just go half and get over this. i'm not even losing sleep over it really.

I knew a couple people in college that had their laptops broken at a party. NONE got anything from the offenders. They tried but it was their own damn fault for having the laptop out.

I am with the above. I think even paying half is obsurd... especially since her parents probably bought it for her in the first place... don't know many students that throw down 2Gs for a laptop on top of tuition and everything...
