With the JB2 you may be pushing it without having an OC. Lots of choices available for the intakes ........ and the tunes for that matter.

Congrats on the smart purchase and WELCOME!

how was the JB+? The one thing i have noticed is that the throttle response is not very good don't know if it is turbo lag or maybe the software that is in the car not sure what software is currently on the car just some things i read that it could be. Does a tune remove this?

figure i will go with intake they sell on the bm website see a lot of people are going with the dual intake but the bms intake is the only one that shows a dyno graph so i might end up getting that one

That's going to depend mainly on what sw/progman version you currently have installed on your car. The dealer would have to inform you of the version.

Congrats that's a nice car, I really wish I got a 335i. Maybe an e92 in 2 years

Do you have anything on your headlights? in the 1st pic the corners look amber but in the 3rd they look as orange as mine.

Actually, there are quite a few intakes that other forum members have dyno tested on their cars showing an array of gains and even losses at times in power. I have no idea how anyone could lose power with the addition of an aftermarket intake but ........ they did.

IMHO, the appearance of an intake such as the BMS DCI draws too much of the wrong type of attention from a dealer as it looks "thrown together". Go with an intake that looks like some time went into the design rather than the previously mentioned. Lots to choose from!

Just ask your SA if he might be able to find out what version of "progman" you currently have installed on your car. They may be able to look back at the service having been performed on your car and tell you if in fact the car ever had an update at all.

FYI, if your turbos aren't spooling at about 1900-2000 RPM then you probably do have some lag due to an update.
Again, it shouldn't cost you anything to find out unless they want to hook the car up ......... then it becomes a diagnostic charge.
